I want to copy a few of my son's DVDs to AVI format so he can watch them on the android tablet on the plane when we go on holiday. I presumed I could stick the DVD in my laptop and simply convert to AVI, but not so. I've got some DVD ripping freeware, but that's complaining about the files being secure (as in this case its a legit copy of Pixar's Cars)

any suggestions?

All explained here >>

Handbrake is a brilliant bit of work one of the best Transcoders going for flexibility and picture quality.

Thanks. I've got Handbrake but DVD43 doesn't work on XP64, I'm looking for an alternative...

DVDRip (I think) is the one I used.

Tried anyDVD which is a free trial, but the single dll seems to be working too.
Thanks 🙂
