I was in a mates house and he chucked in a dvd
It was Hostel.
It started off good with a load of sexy ladies.
Then the torture starts.
I made my excuses and left.
Who the hell finds this kind of thing entertaining?
There's no wonder there's some disturbed people around if they have this kind of stuff to watch.

I'm a big horror film fan but must admit I did not enjoy Hostel. It's nasty for the sake of it instead of being a good film imo.

I remember watching that at the cinema when it first came out, must have been a good 10 years ago. Was a massive Tarantino fan then.

I had to pay a visit to the facilities half way through, something I'd never done before or since.

Also watched it at the cinema, I came away feeling .......slightly nauseous and violated.
You’ve got to be wrong in the head to think that kind of crap up, definitely not entertaining and I’ve not really watched a horror since.

I've found not watching shit like that to be the best thing to do.
Hammer house of horror is my limit, and I need a cushion and a Poodle for that..

Agree with the comments above - sick, twisted shit. There's a Hostel2 apparently, so obviously there is an audience 😕

On email a mate told to go and see a film called wolf creek. This was while I was in NZ travelling a few years ago and was seriously annoyed at the result. So since then I've got him back by getting him to Google, "A Serbian Film".... If you haven't heard of it, my advise is keep it that way and don't Google it, it makes hostel look like a teddy bears picnic. Some things burn onto your brain for life and you will wish they hadn't....

I opened a link once on Facebook - it was Titled 'Christian Missionaries Commit Atrocities in The Congo'

I knew it wasn't going likely to be pleasant but I honestly did not expect to see actual footage of men and women being forced to sit in fire pits and burn alive, and getting brutally clubbed if they tried to escape their fate..
Suspected witches apparently

I'm feeling a bit sick and tearful describing it now some 4 years later

Does anyone remember the 'faces of death' videos..?
They were almost like a rite of passage when I was a teenager

@patriot,
If you do like it there is really something wrong with you.
It's not entertainment. Call it what you want but it's definitely not entertainment.

Sounds delightful. ^^

I really don't understand why people want to watch this sort of stuff. Real or fictional. I'm not for one second suggesting that we should all only watch disney movies (some of which are torture themselves) but it just strikes me as a bit odd that you'd want to watch people being tortured, mutilated and killed.

I thought it was OK too and I have never felt the urge to murder anyone, even those who would judge me based purely on what I thought of a film without actually having met me.

I don't think I'd watch it again or bother with the sequels though.

Fire away!

I am same too.
I have not watched an 18 in years, they are just mainly violent, scary or graphic sex. None of which add anything to my life - in fact, I think they degrade it.
I had some apprentices at work in the past who could not sleep - and they thought that 10hours on gaming in a day, or a couple of back-to-back 18 rated horror films was not part of the issue of getting to sleep.

I once reluctantly clicked a link on facebook and watched what looked to be a fairly normal, everyday woman having her head cut off with a knife while she screamed. If only some things could be un-watched. Truly horrible 🙁

For the purposes of entertainment though, I'll happily watch people get cut up into bits all day long, and so will half the rest of the population given the popularity of movies like Hostel and Saw.

I had no idea what it was going to be.
My mate invited me over for a movie with a few cans.
