What's the best way to store a sandwich if made the night before?
In the fridge in a sealed sandwich bag or container or leave out on a plate to be sealed In the morning?

Definitely contained or wrapped, left open leads to dryness.

Although a dry curled up sarnie after a ride is heavenly. Mind you, any form of food is usually good.

Wrap it in tinfoil.

Sausages should only be sliced lengthways and only if there are not enough whole sausages to provide adequate coverage of the bread. Brown sauce only.

I keep bread in the freezer, then make sandwiches with it still frozen, seal in bag overnight. Nice and moist still for lunch 🙂

After I make mine, I wrap completely in cling film, then put in one of those sandwich boxes with the lock-down airtight lids. Still nice and soft at lunchtime. The bloody great doorsteps I took to work today were, anyway. Nom! 😀

As a child, umm, about 10 I think (my parents believed I should be independent very early), on Sunday night I would make all my butties for the week, seal them in bags and then stick them in the freezer.

They were never unfrozen by dinner time so looking back, I realise I spent my entire secondary school dinner periods chewing on half-frozen ham sandwiches.

And that's what made me the man I am today.
