I've been thinking about this for a while now, but as I sit here looking out of the window at the horizontal sleet, it's at the front of my mind. And there hasn't been a 'jack it all in and run away' style daydreaming thread for a while now.

If you wanted to completely avoid next winter, where would you go?

My personal requirements are that it would have to be extremely cheap on account of me making many disastrous life choices and having very little money. Pleasant weather, good food and nice trails, though riding would not be the sole attraction. Somewhere that I could possible get a menial job and meet the locals. Somewhere that I can stare out the window and write my novel. Somewhere that doesn't share its wind with Siberia.

I'm thinking India but all I have so far is a very vague, mental image.

I'm bored, I might go for a walk along the beach and get sand blasted.
