Can anyone think of something to keep him occupied?

Does there have to be an official goalkeeper on the pitch, can't they just replace him with an outfield player so he can sit down while he watches the game.

Spain as usual trying to walk the ball into the net, yawn. Still way too good for Ireland though who lets face it are just making up the numbers.

To be fair, when the opposition camp the whole team in the penalty box, the Spanish have got to move the ball around and probe for gaps, I can see them opening up teams who also dare to progress past the half way line.

They should let a bull out onto the pitch, that'd be more entertaining.

Jesus, this has been a hard watch. That was a proper hammering. Couldn't but admire it from the Spanish. Fair dues to the fans though...no booing and partying with the Spanish. They did well to get there and I guess it was nice to have one's own team to shout for - doesn't happen that often.

Ireland - worst team in the tournament - technically very poor.

Yep, can't disagree. Probably the worst team in it. To be fair, not helped by a tough draw either. Don't think they can have any excuses though - better was expected I feel. Ah well. Who to shout for now?

Well, he could have passed a hat round the crowd.
