Back in the day before the internet, there was a story of a
secretary in New Zealand. Some law had just been passed banning
sexism in official documentation, so you could no longer talk about ‘Firemen’, ‘Manhole’ and so on.
So this clever secretary did a global replace in all documents to replace ‘man’ with ‘person’. The personagement where not to happy with the result.

My missus did a load of work with the sex discrimination act and all e mail mentioning the sex discrimination act were blocked at work!
