Has anybody done this?
Going next week and would like to hire a road bike and get some miles in, only really maybe once or twice in the week. Hopefully get out early doors while my g/f is still in bed.
Google tells me there are a couple of bike hire places but their websites are pretty basic- I'm wondering if anybody has any experience?
Also do these places usually hire helmet/equipment out too? Other than maybe shorts, a top and a puncture repair kit I can't really be bothered taking stuff over with me. So basically need to hire a helmet whilst I'm there I guess.

Having lived On the white isle ,stay away from early morning 6am rides to avoid the sun as that is when the workers,clubbers and party people will be returning home ,or moving between parties, as well as the taxis finishing an 14 hour shift. Great riding IMO. I had left cycling long behind when i moved there.
