I have checked my sent folder and there are messages in there that I have not sent with attachments. It seems to be working through my contacts folder. Any idea how to stop it?

Run Malwarebytes.
Stay off porn sites. (-:

You have a virus/malware. Your computer is sending the mails from your account, not hotmail.
