Recommend me a PCI sound card that works with Windows 7.
Just set up an older PC with Windows 7 and it has no sound.
It is an ex-works unit from my employer and was originally supplied without a sound card.
I don't need anything mega, it just has to work.
Alternatively, would one of these do?

Yeah, cheap USB sound cards work fine.
Surprised there's no 3.5mm outs on the motherboard though? Pretty standard for years now...
Tbh you may have slim pickings because you need to find out what motherboard is in the PC (windows system settings) and then Google like mad for compatible ones.. Scan or aria for prices

Not working.
I've plugged in a USB speaker and that goes, so I'll try a USB sound card for the regular external speakers.
