looking at cycle back from visiting the inlaws in a few weeks.ย going to use the NCN.ย can anyone help with what maps i need to get for this route if i take the east coast up to Edinburgh (i know the way north from there).ย load on the website shop but im not sure which ones cover that area.

cycletravel.comย ย , a fineliner felt tip and a cheapo road atlas. Tear out the pages you need, copy route from website, discard once you are off page.

I take it you know which ncn and where they are or are you asking which way to go rather than what maps?
NCN route 1 goes up the east coast, all of the way to Inverness, and beyond.
Looks like you can buy Sustrans maps for Newcastle to Edinburgh, then Edinburgh to Aberdeen, then Aberdeen to Shetland. Though not sure if there are any maps for the route south of Newcastle?
