A bike ride?

Go-Ape is brilliant, I went to the Bedgebury one, loved it.

Horse riding?

horizontal jogging?

Go Ape was certainly fun on a stag do - not sure about as a date though.

Go-Ape is fun, but you might want to make sure the lucky lady/guy is not scared of heights.

Go-Ape is too far away from me. >2hr round trip - too long for a date.
That sort of thing seemed to tickle her fancy though.

MK snow dome is already being done.

You probably want to mention where you are based, if travelling time needs to be taken into account.

If you don't know enough about her. You may run the risk of finding out about fears the bad way.

Fear of heights go Ape could gnarf her off.
If she can't swim, water related activities are a no no.

You're not out to impress her, so nothing you can already do. You don't want to end up talking about past experiences in doing it.

How about horse riding, beaches are great.

Go fly a kite, simple and fun.

What things does she already like to do?
And thing of something similar, perhaps something you'll find difficult and end up doing badly(but funnily)

Why not just chase her round the park, with saliva dribbling from your mouth like your usual dates 😉

Some of these ideas are genius. I just texted her... even Strip Twister seems a bit risque for her.

Climbing could be good. Be great to see if she's still got good wrist strength on some of the smaller holds.

I have a very charming dog you can take for a walk if you fancy. You would not be the first person to exploit his charms to endear yourself to the opposite sex.

Bouldering may be better than climbing 'cos you don't need to worry about harnesses and belaying if one of you isn't a climber... Plus there's always the option of catching falls

Indoor skiing lessons?

Live near one of these?

Or, you could just stay in with a pizza and a bottle if vodka then #### like bunnies.

Hmmm ... I personally would avoid anything that could possibly involve some competitiveness. Not saying that's how you are TSY but guys can display their Neanderthal man-ness in some situations without realising. I would suggest though you are far too much of a gentleman. 😉

How about a nice walk in an area that has some interesting features followed by a pub lunch or afternoon tea?

This girl is pretty competitve about sports C_G.
But yes, I am way too much of a gentleman so I may just go for a walk. Getting pretty bored of the current walking venue though.

Harry - that's a great idea but already on the agenda with someone else 😳

Take her orienteering.

See if you can work as a team on the first date, if you can't. RUN!!

A couple hrs boating?

Dancin' a bit of classic style and see if you can move well together. If not eye up the next victim.

Invite her to spend an hour with you while you bless STW with your repartee? If that is lacking the active angle, then just get her to jog on the spot.

meet her at the train station, get the first train that turns up, then get off at the first big station you get to, then take another train, then find somewhere to eat and possibly stop over, head towards the coast if possible.

Jamie - I did that with an ex. She now lurks on here, has no interest in biking but finds some of the forumites extremely amusing...
