I am hoping to get to Mont Ventoux for stage 15. I have no problems getting to Marseilles but public transport from their to Ventoux is thin. Bit of a long shot but does anyone know anybody who will be travelling to this stage and would be willing to give me a lift from Marseilles on the Sunday 14th July? Willing to pay petrol costs etc.

How are you getting around when you get to France?
Where do you want to be on race day?
The campervans on the mountain will be there from the Friday, I doubt you will be able to get within 10 miles of the summit on the Sunday, the latest you need to be near the summit will be early Saturday afternoon if want to camp up there.
Spectating, you need to set out early on the Sunday otherwise the road will be closed/solid with people.
Mont ventoux on Tour de France day is the most amazing. If the weather is good it will be a day to remember.
