well just to let you know that, there seems to be a MTBing crew out here and i have yet to do any riding (my bike is in the post)!!

i have had a chat with a few STWers coming out here soon, so ill see you soon!!

ill get some pics up soon and keep u all posted on my adventures

well sorry its been so long, the wind has been blowing up to 50mph for the last few days!!

the island so far is great, not been out on any trips yet but i will be going out soon!! will keep people posted.

if any one is coming out and wants to meet up then email me (in profile)

If it's still open, pop into the sailors' mission in Stanley. Fantastic cakes!
I spent a winter down there in 2000. Took my climbing gear and did some winter routes with an MRT colleague. It was much better than festering in the maze on your day off.

Also did a battlefield tour. Amazing to see soldiers' personal effects still lying around. Humbling to see just how close the spotters, for the Naval bombardments, got to the Argie positions. One RM observer crawled through an Argie minefield to lay up 25 yards from their forward positions. 😯

well its FIXMAS (falklands isle xmas) and its snowing (sort of)

its freezing here and winds have been up to 75 kts!!!

been out seen loads of sea lions, penguins and dolphins.

no sign of my bike yet though!!

Where abouts are you? Near Port Stanley? The mrs and I are meant to be going out there soon to see her Dad and I fancy taking my bike so will be interesting to find out what the riding is like

Mattew_h i have proberly met your sister as i work in the port!!

Taff. I work at MPA about 30miles from stanley. it looks like a awsome place to ride but you dont know where mines are! so itend to stay on MPA.
