Hi,

I have some heel spurs that stick out the back of my heel. Not really a problem unless hillwalking when they blister pretty quickly.

Anyone had similar? Any tips.

I just tried taping over them to pad them a bit.

Cheers,

Mick

Are you sure they're heel spurs? I thought heel spurs were calcareous extensions on the underside of the heel bone, linked to plantar fascitis if you don't get it looked at.

I suppose technically they are Haglund's deformity.

Got a good outdoor shop nearby? Might be worth dropping in for a look, good chance they’ll have had to help with all kinds of issues in the past so might have to some good idea (E.g. my other half sorting Heather Mills ski boots for her)

I can heartily recommend Whalley W&D. Fabulous service. And I had to travel to get to them as I'm in the NE.

Yeah, I've spent a few hundred quid on useless orthotics for other problems.

Don't see how they can magically get rid of a spike of bone which sticks out of the back of my foot.
