Dear all,

We have had a few incidents of people cutting themselves using the firm's brand mugs, therefore these mugs will be removed in the next few days.

In the meantime please be careful while using the mugs until we find a sufficient replacement.

Kind Regards

Your best responses, if you please, to this company wide email.

How do you cut yourself with a mug?

Two points.

1. What sort of morons do you have working for you who manage to cut themselves on a mug?
2. What sort of morons do you have working for you who managed to buy mugs with sharp edges that mean people are being cut by them?

Dear All,

Following receipt of the mug email I have sustained significant injury to my forehead - after smashing it repeatedly against my desk. Has anyone else suffered similar injuries ?
Should we ban desks or emails - or possibly morons ?

Complain that you burned your hand after making your tea in a pint glass, then lacerated it when the thermal shock made the glass shatter.

I would assume something is wrong with the mugs if lots of cuts are occurring, perhaps the razor blade handle was a better idea in theory?, so doesnt really seem like H&S gone mad.
Its that or you have a bunch of idiots working for you but from a H&S perspective I think they still have to try and save them from themselves.

They are just ceramic mugs and I've seen a couple of them with chips.

Now me, begin an intelligent proveur of STW, I've avoided those mugs.

I guess some are not so astute ?

I like that these dangerous mugs are to be removed "in the next few days", nice sense of urgency to remedy this dangerous situation.

We got a load of branded mugs at work a little while ago. They were removed again shortly afterwards when it was discovered that when filled with boiling water they had a propensity to explode (with hilarious consequences). I'm guessing yours are of a similarly high quality.

Bloody hipsters. Why can't they just use plates like we used to in the olden days?

Nah ... we've had them for a good few years now, they were introduce to stop us using our own

Too many, including my own, Spurs mugs (yes, I'll set them up for you) or others like the one with a middle finger on the base, the "I heart dogging" one and others with "hilarious" memes.

Don hard hat and high viz vest and a risk assessment grid and have a photo taken having a coffee. Maybe with the area cordoned off just in case. For nothing can get you once suitably equipped.

Just gone to fill my death trap up with coffee .... someone has put up warning signs on the cupboard doors, where the mugs are stored.

Our canteens have sinks with hot and cold taps, they also have wall mounted boilers providing instant boiling water for coffees etc..... we recently had a team meeting where it was pointed out that we shouldn't use the boilers to wash our hands🙄.... and they trust us to build aeroplanes!

I've seen this twice before in the same office, two batches of branded mugs were all garbage and either handles cracked off or whole mug broke up when hot liquid was put in. One lady was wearing open toe sandals and badly burned her foot.
