Tyring to install a Netgear SC101 network hard drive. I've got a 500gb PATA HDD that it doesn't seem to recognise, any ideas?

PATA = ATA133 = EIDE

Similar, though some systems, particularly the network storage solutions which utilise RAID may not recognise larger capacity disks by default.

Try a firware update? - Does the drive work on its own in a PC?
