Got a GoPro hero session 4 which I’ve had for a few years - it’s always worked flawlessly.
Today it’s wanting me to connect both bluetooth and WiFi before it’ll connect the app to the phone and then won’t stay paired for more than 3 mins when the countdown for pairing mode runs out.
It’s making it really difficult to download any of the short videos today to my phone.
Using an iPhone 7 and I’ve just updated my software on the phone to see if that helps but it hasn’t.
Something has changed on the GoPro I’m sure of it - or with the app. It didn’t used to be that difficult.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my Hero 5 I have reset it, changed the memory card and reinstalled the app. All with no resolution to the issue.
I am not sure what the problem is, but i gave up and got a card reader for my iPhone 7 of ebay to avoid the frustration.
You’ve tried more than me - it’s very odd! Guess I’ll just have to download the video via cable to my Mac Mini but it’s a bit annoying.
I have been using one of these, handy for weekends away to back up the memory card and still be able to edit the video in the apps.
My session has always done that (among other irritating bugs) try toggling flight mode on the phone before connecting the GoPro.
