We will be in touch
Morning ...
Minivader has decided that my whiterock hat is now his. Tbf it has seen alot of wear so I'm not too worried. Se what would people recommend for the summer? Not a tilly hat tho as they are bloody expensive. Needs to be fairly bomb proof as it'll get worn on a daily basis.
cheers
Balaclavas seem to be in from watching the news
Drac thats the one!!!
Well a Tilly would have been my first recommendation. I assume you want wide brimmed ? Columbia used to do a fairly cheap lightweight one.

Jambalaya... I would get a tilly but 70 quid is too steep
Boonie hat? De Rigeur for sun, or rain....

Just one of the range
I get the feeling that this isn't being taken seriously. 😆

Nice hat but ditch the grandad...
Tarp hat from tarphat.co.uk
K'off mike 😉
caps leave you with a Red Neck, not a good look unless your in the middle of the US of AAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Its about time we found out exactly what type of hat is suitable for men. Im sure we all need something that protects the noggin but doesnt make you look like a granddad.

suncream?
Needs to be bombproof you say?
Elephant trainer Michael Hackenberger of the Bowmanville (Ontario) Zoo, had his Tilley Hat snatched from his head and eaten by an elephant. Three times. Michael later would find and pick up his Hat, wash it thoroughly, and wear it.
I need to have a wide brim hat ... We may have a winner with the tarp hat....
I really, really want a Tilly. I really, really can't afford a Tilly.
I console myself by trying them on every time I go into Go Outdoors, then walk away with a little sad face of longing like Wayne Campbell in a guitar shop.
C'mon Cougar, Tilly's aren't that expensive! Unless you're in the habit of regularly leaving hats on trains, buses, in cafés, etc, it'll last for donks. I've got two, a Canadian Winter and a waxed cotton waterproof, which gets used quite often!
My 'everyday' hat is a black six-panel duckbill, cost me £6 from a street stall at our local folk festival last year. It just happens that it's on this weekend, so I'll be checking the street market stalls on Monday for another one, just in case, and a grey check as well.
Perfectly fitting hat, really comfy, keeps the sun off the thin bit on top, the sun out of my eyes, and rain off when it drizzles.
All you could possibly ask from a hat, really.
Baseball cap = chav, middle aged through to grandad. If it's a pensioner, he'll be wearing shorts, big white socks and trainers. If it's a middle aged fella, he'll be driving like a tosser and possibly wearing oakleys. If it's someone under 30, it's probably a chav.

Tilley, second hand from EBay then, the best is the hemp version th5 I think.
New Tilley hats look too shiny, second hand is the way to go.
Commendable generalisation there tron.
tarp hat has been ordered...
MM... how did you know?!? 😀
