Sad news for those that enjoy calling in at Hartside Cafe, unfortunately it has burned down.

That's a damn shame, I was looking forward to my first cuppa of the year there (on the motorbike).
I have often passed it without ever using it ..but very popular .
Hopefully it will be restored and open for business again ..
Really sad to see this, got some lovely memories of stopping there.
It was often a stop off for an outside cuppa upon return from the Lake District.
Shame, I hope it’s up and running again soon.
A real shame. As most, i had never stopped till last week as it was a good drive up and across to Newcastle. We stopped the other week to checkout the snow condition and use the facilities. Ended up buying a painting that a local artist.
Hopefully they'll bounce back
That is a damn shame. I normally have a couple of trips up there each summer from Newcastle just for the roads and to check out all the bikes/cars. They do a nice Mars bar cake and cup of coffee for a pit stop! I really do hope they get back up and running.
