Booking tickets for HPW and planning it as part of a journey (which includes ferries). Because we'll have offspring in tow, how long should I allow to get round the tour?
We went round in about 4hrs, and that was taking everything in, inc finding all the stuff in the passport with our 3 (6, 9, 12), who really enjoyed it, and a picnic lunch in the middle.
Could be shorter if you legged it, but about that time would seem reasonable.
Are you driving there?
FWIW, I thought it was excellent!
Yes, driving there from Suffolk, then heading home to the Isle of Wight.
Fortunately I used to live 20 miles up the road from the studio, so vaguely know the area already.
Took us 6 hours (inc. picnic lunch) recently, but that was with 4 boys all going in different directions. Enjoyed it too but keep a close hand on your wallet..
I think under 3hrs would be rushing, 4ish seems sensible, but if you're a fan of film-making (in general, not just HP) you could easily spend longer taking everything in.
Great - thanks all. Tickets booked.
It is a great day out. We went a few years ago and spent 5/6hours there, that was taking our time, lunch, flying on the broomstick (the DVD was a rip off...but we bought it
🙄 ) . The whole day cost a small fortune between entry, the DVD of the kids on the broomstick and then the shop at the end of the tour that cost us 2 wands.... but the kids (and adults) reaLly enjoyed it.
