My OH has got fishcakes for dinner.

Not a euphemism.

MrsTHtobe is away tonight, I’m fine with buying my own steak, but not sure I can manage the second bit on my own.

Spareribs anyone?

If you need a special day for it, you're in the wrong relationship.

I can eat steak and get denied any day of the year.

10 days until my birthday. I've asked for silence.

I'm reliably informed by my lady wife, who is knowledgeable in such matters, that it is in fact Macaroni Cheese and GTF Day.

My wife engineered the annual get-out-of-steak-and-BJ-day argument yesterday. We're still not talking and I got a ready meal curry for tea. I won't be holding my breath for anything other than a cold shoulder later.

Will there be another calendar-themed thread tomorrow? I despair...

My OH has got fishcakes for dinner.

In perhaps the most wonderfully delicious ironcic twist of fate (since I had never even heard of steak and BJ day), I have, quite literally, just finished a fish cake that my wife put in the oven for me.

Mikewsmith, it is actually Pi day today in America.

Indeed. As North Americans write (and say) the date differently to the UK - e.g March the 14th instead of 14th of March it is Pi day (3.14). Pie shops do in fact do a roaring trade on days like today and there are charity pie competitions etc.

And in non-retard countries it's on the 22nd of July...
