firstly - i'm not IT clever so bear with me
my hotmail got "hacked" recently, all my contacts got sent a dodgy email advertising electrical goods and all my contact list dissappeared.
i changed my password to a more secure one
now the account doesn't seem to send or receive mail
i have set up a yahoo email instead but this doesn't seem to work either as i've tried sending emails between the two
ANY IDEAS???

Happened to me too, check your security settings, mine were set to only allow known contacts through, if you have no contact list you have no known contacts!

an interesting choice - I think the loss of the possibility of interesting mail from unknown 3rd parties would be worse than the spam it's intended to prevent 🙁
