No Gull expert would ever call them seagulls.

Just sayin' 😉

He's right, you know.

Also, they've taken the word gullible out of the dictionary.

Gulls are not to be believed.

The herring gull does not eat herring
The common gull is actually rather rare
The black heading gull actually has a brown head and only for part of the year
The black backed gull actually has black(ish) wings
The Glaucous gull is Glakit

Gulls are not to be believed.

You'd have to be quite gullible to believe they gave themselves those names...

Fulmars are the friendliest of gulls.

Saw a skua drown a fulmar then pluck it and eat it about 10m away from me. Nasty. Still finished my sandwich though.

Probably.

I'm guessing the OP's  question is... could a gull really  take a chihuahua?

I'd say that, yes, it absolutely could.

When I was a kid, our cat, Sid, pounced on a gull and grabbed it by the leg. The gull was, understandably, unhappy with this situation and flew away with the cat still attached.

The cat realised it's error and finally let go when the gull was about 30 feet in the air and landed indignantly on our garage roof.

Two weeks in St Ives every year has only strengthened my conviction that gull are larcenous arseholes who will take anything.

A fulmar is an albatross.

Albatross flavoured ice cream anyone?

Thankfully the cat survived.

Otherwise we'd have had a kitty wake.

The 'Flock of seagulls' band member up there is wearing a Trump hairdo. It's not a good look even for the '80's.

Nice! Even if you did setup your own punnage.

Very good.

But you've already had your tern. Let someone else have a go 🙂

There was a dead squirrel just outside work a couple of weeks ago, and it was gulls, not the crows that were pecking away at it, and refusing to move out of the way, even for tankers and car transporters!
Last I saw of the squirrel was the half of it remaining disappearing down a gulls throat! 🤢
