Certainly top of my list for supermarket chocolate, great stuff.

Currently Cocoa Mountain is top of the list, fantastic truffles

I wasn't saying it is the best, I was asking the question.

I think it's the first time I've dabbled in the really dark stuff and really like it.

Not a fan of 85% - just too bitter. 70% is where it's at.

That's pretty much what I thought beforehand, but not now. The vanilla seems to take the edge off.

G&B's 85% is bitter, the Co-Op's 85% is much nicer. Seriously.

Maybe it's because I don't have a particularly sweet tooth.

Montezuma and Hotel Chocolat are worth a look, though the latter is possibly overpriced.

Being a chocolate snob I can no longer buy it now it's owned by kraft.

Still never had anything better than:

I know I'm just a commoner but surely the best is Old Jamaica Rum and Raisin?

Dammit, neither can I now, how that passed me by I'll never now.

I feel violated.

G&B Maya Gold is brilliant, I think it has a different name now though. A bit spicy and orangey.

they sold out to cadbury's, who in turn were bought up by kraft.

hotel chocolat is very good stuff, but at a premium. montezuma is high up there too.

Even the soon to be out of date 50% off stuff is overpriced. Good but overpriced. And they're deliberately misleading with the packaging now - the boxes contain far less than meets the eye and I'm no good at estimating based on weight.

Montezuma chocolate is really great. Hotel Chocolat as good but a bit pricey even for quality.
Just been bought some Grenada Chocolate company 71% dark. Really good.
Have a look at The Chocolate Tree in Edinburgh. www.the-chocolate-tree.co.uk

Still like Green and Black especially the Milk chocolate but the competitor are now a tad better. Cannot deny that they really got the quality in choccy going. Pity that they have been swallowed by a giant company, hope they can keep up the good product.

The Aldi one (Moser Roth) is really rather good, they do a 5 bar pack that helps to stop me eating the whole lot at once.

G&B tastes good, but has a rather unpleasant chalky texture IMO.

G&B 85% is my favourite of the supermarket brands. Cheap at the moment in Waitrose too! There is another organic offering that my local indie wholefoods shop does, can't remember the name at the moment - it's very nice but I rarely buy it as it's twice the price of G&B.

IMO anything under 80% is just sugar with a bit of cocoa chucked in. Which is fine for "those people" I suppose. You know, the ones who ruin coffee by putting milk in it. 😆

I tried the strong one and it was really tasteless. Not impressed. Perhaps the others taste better (but see above!)

Hotel Chocolat trumps all of your silly suggestions.
