Is there a minimum output for registering on a turbo.

The other day I was in the granny and spinning relatively slowly and it seemed to confuse the resistance and read 0 power output. If I sped up the rpm it then appeared to work.

It’s a “Drivo”.

I rarely use the thing so can’t say if it’s ever worked before.

I have a drivo. It'll register well under 50w, no idea how it'd "cope" with less than 20 or so but I've never seen zero registered when pedaling

My 7 year old son has ridden my Drivo on Zwift and it quite happily registered his power output of circa 20W or so.

Genuinely disappointed this isn’t about Gran dropping watt bombs in a Zwift Crit Race

Definitely a misleading clickbait title!

Somewhere there will be a table showing the power range at different cadences for the Drivo in 34T and 50T rings at least. Is there a Drivo user Facebook group?

There is a Direto group and iirc from the table, 34/18 gear gives a range of something like 84-484W at 80-100rpm.

When I cool down in easy gears, the power can easily go sub 50W, but a quirk I've noticed is the cadence reading drops to ~50% of actual below ~60W if I'm spinning at my normal 90ish. If I slow down my cadence to ~70 in such situations, the reading on Zwift then looks normal again.

I don't think it's so much a out the power in your situation but the doped of the rear wheel (or 'wheel' if it's a wheel off turbo). In granny the rotation of the rear wheel is so slow for a given crank rpm I would guess it doesn't work well with their resistance algorithm?

If you're doing intervals and suddenly go from 250 watts to 125 say it will sometimes register 0 for a few seconds as the erg mode catches up on my Drivo... legs are going round so assuming some power is coming out if them😉
