Won a 911. Next stage is the Porsche cup. Race 1 is the full nordschleif in the wet, with a pp limit that seems low. Spent about 2 hours and failed to proceed. Anyone else find it tough without anti spin turned on?

well the whole game (single player included) has now been offline for over 24 hours. What a s..ty design solution - whoever came up with "if the servers aren't online the game wont function" should be fired.

The update has sorted all the tire issues though, supposedly.

that may be the case, but I'd rather be playing with the wrong tires than have nothing at all. I'm actually having to do work instead!

I stupidly upgraded the mini without paying attention to the PP limit, now cannot do the mini cup, is there anyway I can reverse upgrades without buying a new plain mini?

Go into the car settings, you can change parts to originals, or restrict Power etc.

yeah you can buy either a power restricter or ballast (both cheap) and then go to car settings and tweak them to get under the PP limit, or just remove parts as suggested above

Me too! Although it was a while ago now, the suggestions above are spot on.

A tip for the future for you - when you're completing the Mustang menu a little further on don't be surprised if you get yourself a 5.0 Mustang, add a supercharger to it and find that even on a simple oval track it's undriveable and ends up spinning into the wall at the slightest provocation. If you've got ASM (Active Stability Management) enabled in the driver assistance settings that's your issue. Took me ages to work out after adding a 2 way LSD to the car, uprated dampers, etc. It was the ASM all along!

Yeah, I had to go back to CoD last night 🙂

So the real life valuations of (legend) cars has thrown up it’s first ‘WTF’

‘94 McLaren F1 - price in GTSport, around a million, maybe 2 million credits, or £2.49 if you CBA to grind. Price in GT7? 18.5 million. That’s around 42 hours of gameplay to get the required credits, or £148 if you CBA with grinding that out. Keep in mind these cars are only available for around 5 days.

There’s the World Series which works out around 450k for an hour of driving (5x10ish min races at 60k plus 150k for winning the championship)

Yeah this is the most I've won so far in one go, though I got 4th on the last 2 lapper on the nurburgring, so that too my prize down to 390k, got a nice pagani huayra too mind. I need to fix my gt car settings just felt to unstable to really rating it through the corners, seems I need to learn about setting up a car now!

tbh I think we'll get plenty opportunity as time passes to earn credots, I doubt this game is even half finished tbh. It's still basically gtsport with some tweaks at the minute. I probably could have hung off buying it for a bike, but I'm sure there'll be other stuff to come. Loving the changing time of day mind in particular, the night races are class.

I just need a ps5 now! 😆

Oh I’m sure I hope they do the ‘beat Lewis’ again, that was a rich (one off) vein, it just annoys me that You are time pressured to buy the legend cars. I’ve spent 2 evenings repeating the same championship to get to 4mil credits for a 166bhp Ferrari as it’s an interesting car, screw spending a working week grinding to get a car (that’s in most other racing games, including the last version, for next to no effort), all because it’s rare and expensive in real life!

And todays legend car addition, a 70s Porsche 917 LM car. 18 million. 🙄

The more I read about this game, the more I’ll be sticking to Forza Horizon 5.

Well, if I had any doubts before (I did not), I definitely need to get it now. I presume the Legends cars will cycle back round over time?

You would hope, but there’s, I think, 70 odd of them, and a new one gets swapped in/out of a group of 5 available to buy every day, so if you miss it, it might be a while before it comes around again.

I've got both. FH5 is a completely different sort of game and in lots of ways better, the fact that it's open world is great fun and I think I prefer the way the cars handle. BUT..... I still like a bit of GT. Maybe because I'm sort of finished FH, at least until they bring the expansion packs out. I won't be paying for additional credits for GT but then I quite like the free cars that you get given pretty much every time you've completed a menu challenge. I still haven't used any of the pre order bonus cars yet - Porsche 917K Living Legend (admittedly the 2014 concept rather than the 70s version) was one of them so luckily I can keep my 18 million credits (that I don't have) in my pocket 🙂

Porsche 917K Living Legend

That’s what I’ve been using to grind out credits in the World Series.

If you go into your garage in the gifts(which is where you cash the lottery tickets I just learned), you'll have a ticket for a million credits in there.

Apparently they are going to let you sell cars too but that's not active yet.

Anyone tried the nordschleife circuit experience? 6:55 is my best there. 😆 good knows where I'm picking up 10 secs for silver never mind 17 for gold!

Ah, just seen the mail as an apology for the server maintenance…

First time doing the nordscheliefe experience, 6.51, silver is definitely doable, after that it’s 0.1sec per corner improvement you get to gold 😉

Go to your garage, there will be a ‘gifts’ tab to click on which, if you haven’t been there before, will have loads of rewards for stuff you’ve done in the game.

Ah, go to the track, then at the bottom of the screen there’s options for races/time trials, settings etc, one of those says ‘circuit experience’. It’s that.

It may be best to hold off on the circuit experience for a minute. Reason being they're updating in April to increase the rewards for it, part of their bid to win everyone back after they nerfed the payouts in the last update.

Having now got a driver rating in Sport after enduring the dodgy standards in the initial races I'm really enjoying the online races. Payout for them is still a bit rubbish but there's a good standard which makes it fun, even won a race the other day which something I'd never quite managed on GT Sport.

Loving GT7 though and looking forward to the future updates.

Well after finally getting round to setting up my PS5, and downloading the updates - i reckon about 10 hours worth, i actually managed to play a bit last night.

got to say im enjoying it so far but only about 2 hours in so its slow progress, kids and life really make a dent in the gaming time.

I finished the cafe menu books yesterday. I have really enjoyed playing through them all but now I am a little disappointed they are over. I have a few races on the map I've not done yet but then after that I don't know what to do. Buy and mod more cars...but for what? I have not done many of the missions so I guess that's something else to do. Maybe I need to venture into the online part of it but that will involve signing up for the ps subscription service.

I've just completed all the licenses (not too bad once they put the right bloody tyres back on the rally cars). All Gold except for the Super License, which I flashed through on bronze or silver - bloody glad I did as there is no way I could see myself getting gold on the final test round Spa in the wet. I am only using a dual shock though.

From a few videos it looks like a wheel is really needed as so many corrections needed to get round in a decent time.

Or am I just crap - anyone got gold at Spa with a controller?

spec 2 comes out tomorrow - new tracks, better AI, a whole bunch more licenses and more weekly events. Pretty excited here, as I was running out of things to do (already gold on all licenses and circuit experiences). Anyone else still playing?

Or am I just crap – anyone got gold at Spa with a controller?

spa took me about 2 evenings with a full wheel setup, after which i beat it by a couple of seconds. crazy-hard race

Oh, and getting the license at Spa? Have you got a driving sim mad 16 year old son? If so, give your controller to him for a bit, worked for me 🙂

Only finally got round to buying it a few weeks ago, so still building up the car collection for more online racing. Not loving the fact that they make me drift these days!

the enforced drifting and rally stages (to progress the game to 100%) are the worst bit for me. There's a new snow course coming tomorrow that might be fun though

Had a go this morning on the new track. It's just another rallycross stage but I'm not sure what I was expecting! Being able to see the progress percentage of each race series is a good idea, made me realise how much I have still to complete! The weekly races might keep me coming back to the game more regularly as well. Apparently there was a new opening movie as well, but I skipped that!
