That is all - I got a rank promotion today that I've been working towards for the last three years. I'm pleased as punch, and will take me from a job (with a crap supervisor) I can do with my eyes closed to something that will genuinely stretch me every day.

I'm not up for promotion, but I'm being lined up for a dead exciting cutting edge project that will take me away from the current mind-numbingly menial nothing-to-do one. Quite excited at the prospect, so I might be making a similar post in a month or two.
Thanks for the kind words - I found out by an email which could have come at any point either this week or next. I've been on rest days since Monday, so every time the phone has plinked I've dropped everything and nearly had a clutcher! The two lads I was studying with also passed which is great news...
