Just bought a factory refurbished hero 5 and the thing wont charge. The red light comes on very briefly then nowt. The camera works when powered into a socket so after trying different chargers etc i am 99 percent sure its a dodgy battery. There seems to be a few issues like this on the gopro support pages but with no real fix except to buy an external battery charger to re-power the battery. Now before i chuck even more money away has anyone else had this issue and what if anything solved it.

If it’s factory refurbished send it back!

Yep, refund or replacement time don't waste your time or money on something not right out of the box
