I'm aware of the apps that are officially available via this handy gadget & use them e.g. Red Bull/Netflix/IPlayer but would be interested if there are any unofficial links to other apps such as Deezer, Twitter, Instagram etc?

Apps for different platforms are completely different. Android and Apple etc aren't really like Chrome apps.
If you've got Chrome on a computer just go to the websites for twitter, instagram etc.
