[#8179474]

Going over in February to meet old school friends for the weekend, I'm not skiing due to ongoing back issues.

Best to book in advance or just pay on the day for bus ?

Recommendations???

Thanks in advance

Normally we hire a car so not used to traveling with the peasants I'm arriving a day late so have no choice.

Get a coach from the coach station which is about a 3 min walk from the main train station.
The trip is pretty scenic so nice n painless.

I've used Alpybus before a few times . Very good service and reasonable price. They have some restrictions (this was in Verbier) where they can drop you off,i.e. We passed our accommodation to be told he can only drop in the out of town bus stop. Took a 15 minute walk with bags and kit to get back. Chamonix was fine though.

Free train from the airport to Geneva station if you don't have much stuff to lug.

Go to the tourist information desk and ask who is leaving soonest.
Loads of minibus options who will take you to the door of your accommodation.
(may be a hungover yoof who thinks he is Ari Vattinen)

We've always prebooked an Alpybus.
