Everyone in Game of Thrones is either an idiot or a ****. Tyrion's not an idiot.

Shot mainly in Belfast, but with locations in Dubrovnik, and Iceland amongst others. Definitely gets better too!

Some of it is shot in Tollymore forest near Newcastle, Co Down. And yes there are loads of good trails in there.

My missus has read the books and [s]is making me sit through[/s] we are watching them together.

I find it a bit dull, to be honest. It goes round and round without really going anywhere. The bad guys are cartoon, moustache-twirling and obvious; but few other characters can see it.

Some shot in various forests and quarries in Norn Iron (not the sunny stuff 😆 ). The old Magheramorne quarry in Larne was first - due a multi squillion pound investment for an eco-village with rock climbing, boating and a plethora of mtb trails. All was looking good (planing passed/funds allocated etc) then HBO turned up, waved their wad and leased the land for several years. Not content with that they moved to various other riding hotspots and claimed the land. My local forest/quarry has just been added to the list (as i found out last week while i was up working on my trail). I quite enjoy Game of Thrones but prefer Game of Bikes.

I like'd it from the very start up to present... sometimes its a bit slow but thats the way series are.

Too many characters.. 1 hr episode is not enough. ..the midget is the best actor in the entire 3 season.. The rest mediocre (ish)

The first couple of books are ok. Now I'm on book 5?6? I'm losing the will to live every time I pick it up.

Haven't bother with tv series as books are better.

I read the books after watching the first series . It left me a bit underwhelmed by the end as I am not sure Martin has any idea where he is going with it , I hope the tv guys have an idea of where their going as I think the tv series is excellent

The shorter gentlemen is the best thing in it. He was much better in Death at a Funeral though.

The worst, most cartoonish characterisation ever:

Baddies are so bad that they're incestuous!
Northerners are poor, hairy, salt of the earth, hard bastards!!
They've built a big wall to keep the [s]scottish[/s] barbarians out!!!
Foreigners are dirty, have peculiar ways and are not to be trusted!!!!

Its a massive steaming pile of crap, even accounting for the boobage. If you want to watch this sort of badly acted nonsense with a high nipple count (although male nipple count outweighs females significantly) watch Spartacus Blood and Sand.
