Ubuntu as OS, Firefox installed too. Adobe Flash Player for Ubuntu re-installed, still can't watch Freecaster. Surely something can be done, can you tell me what?

What version are you running? I am running Jaunty Jacolope which is V9 and freecaster runs fine.

Yeah he must be on Intrepid or something earlier. Jaunty fixed loads of flash problems.

Hairychested try upgrading to latest version. It's not fully supported yet but I've been on it for months and it rocks! No problems so far.

Have you got flashplugin-nonfree installed? if not do this first. I'll have a search around and try and remember what I did.

I know you won't want to install a new distro, but this is one of the reasons I use Linux Mint. Ubuntu based, it comes with all the plugins you need for this sort of thing. Looks pretty too. Try the live cd - should be able to play Freecaster without installing.

Davey, thanks. I'm at loss here so please do.
Gowrie, I'm getting used to non-Windows PC and Ubuntu works fine (apart this situation). Thanks for your suggestion, I might try it on an old-ish laptop though.

I'm drawing a blank here sorry, does youtube work? As long as you have flash player installed it should work fine. Open a terminal window and paste this:

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

restart firefox (make sure you are using firefox and not Epiphany or something else) and try it again. Other than that mate I am at a loss. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

You Tube works, no problem (albeit it took it 2 days to actually agree with my PC ๐Ÿ™‚ )
When I did what you said I got the following:
[sudo] password for krzysztof:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
flashplugin-nonfree is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
krzysztof@krzysztof-desktop:~$

I think I'll live without Freecaster for the time being, one day it'll work. Thanks for your help.
