Whilst out on my morning cycle, I found an iPhone X lying in the road verge. The screen is smashed, but it boots up. The carrier is BT, and typically BT you go round and round in circles on their web pages in an attempt to return it.
Anyone any ideas on a web page or number to contact.
Leave it switched on and look out for a message on the screen. Find myiPhone allows users to send a message / lock or wipe it, as long as it can get reception and they try this, it should work.
Yup leave it switched on they can track it also try the emergency contact details it may have a contact number.
As Drac says, if you can see anything on the screen the try for Emergency Contact. It is accessible on a locked phone. You press the "Emergency" link on the passcode screen, then "Medical ID" (if it is there) and that may have an Emergency Contact listed as part of it.
Life lesson: this is why, as well as having the fancy technological solutions set up, I also have contact details on a sticker on the back of my phone!
My daughter left her phone in a taxi in Nottingham one time which was handed into the police, as the screen was locked the police officer said to the phone 'siri phone dad' cue a rather anxious wake up at 1am for me. Got the phone back though.
*only works if siri is activated and user has a dad in the phonebook
