On W10/Edge, in non-tablet mode when I click on any of those bbcode buttons the tag always gets inserted at the beginning of the text box, which is damned annoying.

Seems to work ok in tablet mode though. Anyone else get this?

I doubt it because no one in their right mind would use Edge, its rubbish. It might be okay in a year or two, but right now it feels like its not properly finished.

I use it because Chrome doesn't work very well in touch mode. With Edge you get the autocorrect/predictive typing thing which is dead handy with the on-screen keyboard. That's the only reason.

I have occasionally, have to cut and paste the end tag to sort it. I hadn't paid much attention to when it happened as I'm not a prolific poster. I'm usually in tablet mode I guess

My opinion is that dragon's opinion is well out of date. This has been my only small glitch with edge in a long time

Been a bug(?) in Edge for a long time. May not actually be a bug but could be a site issue that just doesn't seem to affect Chrome of course 😉

Edge is definitely not rubbish though. Fastest browser out there now and lower memory footprint than Chrome. Not bloated like Chrome has become, and for touch it's the only one that works properly and scrolls smoothly.

As a developer it has the almost the same debugging facilities as Chrome. Rendering, sites that are fully HTML 5 compliant generally work just the same in Edge.

With the Anniversary Update it's gained further improvements and fairly much has all the features I want now.

I do rather like Chrome 'apps'. It does need to support touch properly though - especially as there are now touch Chromebooks and even a tablet I think.

Firefox? Opera?

<whispers> IE?

I've had the forum glitch occasionally where it doesn't render the buttons at all. I just type in the codes instead, they're not exactly lengthy.

Whenever I test our UI work on Edge, It Just Works.
Quite refreshing after wrestling with various flavours of IE since 1998!

I can confirm that the issue you found is present in Edge though 🙂

That only seems to happen to me on long-loading pages like YouTube music threads and the Gif thread.
Those buttons seem to come in last.

Are they any good in tablet mode with touch?
