great shouts. my essential mix habit seems to have waned. i have hundreds from a while back but don't religiously obtain them as i used to. i'll get on these. 🙂
ok, 2 minutes in i'm enjoying it immensely!
One of the best essential mixes was the one by Mike Pickering for Tony Wilson when he died. It was in 2 parts the first being the seminal Manchester bands going into acid and house from the Hacienda days. Shame they pulled the site where you could download all the essential mixes. Also James Lavelle and Scratch Perverts ones were ace.
