[Closed] Follow on from the colonoscopy thread..

Long, funny story which I can't be arsed  😉 typing but in summary had issues on and off for years and tried all the usual meds but they kept coming back until , I couldn't sit, stand, walk or lie down.In absolute agony I  went to my GP who, on examination went "Urrgh"  and  sent me straight to hospital. After  24 hours of  delays they still  couldn't get theatre time to do my op due to other prioirties so I opted to have  mine done on a side ward with a  local anaesthetic.Instantaneous relief and out next day.No problem since and that was 20 years ago.

Let’s hope the op has improved over the years - and the facilities!
