Just sat in the garden with a coffee and there seems to a bit of action. A few ants with wings emerging, although not hordes just yet. South Wales for reference.

Anyone else?

Ah, flying ant day. Back when I lived in Thailand flying ant day was a cause for celebration - everyone got a free meal.
The ants were known as 'mao mod' or 'drunk ants', as they fly so erratically. They'd bump into things, the wings would fall off and they'd stay where they were until gathered and fried.
Delicious, though I'd steer clear of eating ant eggs, they're disgusting.

That's the least of it, separating the yolks and whites when you're making meringue is a right pain.
