Forget war in the Middle East, Paedo-geddon or the price of sweets, I have a far more important and pressing concern.

It's my birthday soon and I'm clearly getting old as I'm struggling for inspiration when my family ask what I'd like...

I know that I could ask them to donate to charity but honestly, they won't do that so I'll have to suggest something and I'd rather it be something useful or that I'll enjoy.

Suggestions from £20 to £100 would be great. Bike (road/mtb/cx) related ideally (because that's what I love 🙂 ). Ideally something that the buyers will vague see as reasonable value ("a tyre for £50! I could by a <insert name of non-bike-related object here> for that!") or understand what it is ("a tubeless kit?" was a good previous request)

Thanks everso 😉

I'm currently deciding what watch I want

Currently deciding between a G Shock Aviator, a Master of G Mudman, or a Suunto Core All Black.

So what about a watch*?

*all of the above are closer to £200 so might be more than you were expecting to pay.

I got entry to the London Triathlon for 90 odd quid for my birthday, with the added bonus of sorting out the xmas presents of wetsuit, tri suit etc

Hmmm.. Kindle's not a bad idea.

I've just got a new watch (otherwise that's what I'd have gone for...)

I have several RC cars (and gliders) in my parents' attic 🙂

I hate running (otherwise Tris would suit me perfectly 😉 )

But thanks, keep the suggestions coming!

Its my birthday next week too 😉

My Mrs has just bought me some wireless sennheiser rs 160 headphones, to listen to while I work in my man cave 😉

Bike related you say? This would be on my list...

Bet it goes for a little more than £100 mind 😉

Get one of these...then you don't have to sit around and listen to music, you can walk around and make your own!

I've got exactly what I've asked for and something that pleases me greatly every year for years now, nothing apart from an oral birthday greeting or phone call.

Letherman skeletool - Kind of bike related and just plain cool. Pretty sure even non-bikey/outdoors types will think it's cool too.
