4 total mtb rides this year, and I've a little blighter on my bollox of all places. ย how it got there through lycra I have no idea....quite itchy....actually putting me off riding local trails
I hate the gits. I actively avoid overgrown trails and my own garden because of them!
where were you riding?
we used to have them in thetford forest, it worried me when I first found one, having been there an awful lot and not noticing them
does anyone know if we get them in Woburn sands?
and if so, do they carry the lurgy?
just my local trails lordswood in Southampton. ย quite overgrown. ย I reckon the little bugger was on the bike and crawling around on the floor of the garage this morning when I did my yoga session as I rode yesterday morning.
good thing was I reckon I pretty much noticed as soon as it bit and it came out clean with tweezers.
Tweezers are not the best idea, get a tick hook, though in the past I've used some thread, wrapped it round the wee bugger.
I had 13 last ride I was out.ย We were trail bashing though.
Pics or it didn't happen
^^each to their own ๐
Record for us is 22 (mostly on my brothers scrote), from Glen Sannox in Arran.
Horse flies, Ticks, midges are all bastards
Don't be so harsh on them. They have needs too.
I tried my tick twirled, too small to get a decent grip.
I do have pictures as it was so small and in a awkward position....
Wifey has now banned all mountain biking kit from the house 😞

Ooft! Arran is the worst place for the wee buggers that I've ever experienced.
