I hate the gits. I actively avoid overgrown trails and my own garden because of them!

where were you riding?

we used to have them in thetford forest, it worried me when I first found one, having been there an awful lot and not noticing them

does anyone know if we get them in Woburn sands?

and if so, do they carry the lurgy?

just my local trails lordswood in Southampton. ย quite overgrown. ย I reckon the little bugger was on the bike and crawling around on the floor of the garage this morning when I did my yoga session as I rode yesterday morning.

good thing was I reckon I pretty much noticed as soon as it bit and it came out clean with tweezers.

Tweezers are not the best idea, get a tick hook, though in the past I've used some thread, wrapped it round the wee bugger.

Don't be so harsh on them. They have needs too.

I tried my tick twirled, too small to get a decent grip.

I do have pictures as it was so small and in a awkward position....

Wifey has now banned all mountain biking kit from the house 😞

Ooft! Arran is the worst place for the wee buggers that I've ever experienced.
