Sounds like a great idea. Perhaps they could have pilotless planes which are remotely operated by some guy somewhere in the Nevada Desert. If a disaster occurs and the plane crashes at least there won't be the expense of training a new pilot. They could have self-service vending machines on-board to get rid of the need for stewards/stewardesses. And if they go the full hog and have passengerless planes, air disasters will cease to be, well, "disasters". It's the way forward I reckon.

They could even strap missiles to them and send them to far off desert lands to kill and maim faceless civilians without risking the life of a sainted military type. Imagine that.

I think even 'they' realise that accelerating and decelerating in one plane is the preserve of the working classes. They are just too stupid to manage 2 let alone 3, which must be the preserve of the upper middle, at least.
