I am currently going for the Sloe Gin and Sauna technique with the thought of some paracetamol before bed.

Any other suggestions?

red hot mental curries - stuffed with chillies, garlic and ginger.

just enough coffee to wake up.

just enough brandy to sleep.

eat 2 pickled onions a day.

come back in a week.

paracetamol and fluids. Decongestant if your nose is blocked but they cause rebound

Or snake oil

my other half has opted for lying on the sofa with the dog embroidering something nice for granny for xmas while I wrestle with my one year old son for control of the laptop..

she seems to be doing quite well on it..

who's winning the battle for the laptop?

Apparently those who have a positive mental attitude towards getting rid of a cold recover quicker than those who don't. Therefore...... Cheer The F*** Up, oh and maybe a couple of paracetamol.

Since my little one started nursery in September I've had coughs/colds/flu type things almost weekly. Today I've gone for the "moaning to the wife" method which didn't really get me far so I've just stuck my head over a bowl of boiling water with Olbas Oil dumped in it. Still bunged up...

Can we see the dog's attempt at embroidery when it's finished?
