Very embarrasingly, Nik Kershaw at the Glasgow Apollo, early 80s, I was 14 or so. *blushes* Not my choice, my best friend wanted to go and her mum got me a ticket too.

AC/DC - Donnington '84

This was the first concert I ever went to, although technically, because AC/DC were top of the bill, i saw Motley Crue first.)

Going to show my age here ๐Ÿ˜‰

Some heavey metal band called Velvet Runs Red or something like that.

In a local hall.

They played the complete set lying in slightly raised coffins, lots of fake blood, chicken feathers and false body parts thrown into the crowd, no musical tallent whatsoever, but quite a show!

At the age of 12, I loved it!

Apart from a couple of local ska bands, my first proper concert was

Levellers in 1994

Still one of my favourite live bands and have probably seen them about once a year since

Newcastle Riverside - that takes me back. Saw plenty there between 87 and 90, usually followed by a mad dash from there back to the station to get the 2315 train back to Durham.

Had my half mile drunken sprint times down to a fine art in those days.

The Streets in 2001 at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. At the ripe old age of 21! Seen them twice since then and the whole production of the gig hasn't been any where near as good.

Motor Head!

I do not believe you went to see them because if you did you would have known they are Motorhead, NOT Motor Head.

Pah!

Or did you mean Machine Head?

Or Diamond Head?

Tricky at the Vic rooms in bristol,
I think was my first ever gig,
either that or Portishead at Colston Hall (bristol).
would have been around 1999 and I was 17/18
relatively recent compared to all the other old timers
