MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
No, not this one, it's happy here. But it thinks FB, hotmail and yahoo are not secure. I just downloaded Kasperkey, but haven't yet set it up if that makes a difference.
Is anyone else getting this?
Is the date/time correct on your PC ?
Utterly unrelated, but I ditched Kaspersky when it was forced to accept members of the former-KGB onto its board - there is no way I would trust Putin's cronies with my security.

What are you using currently?
Malwarebytes would be a better shout (and Chrome). Also, date / time / timezone as cranberry suggests.
Time and date are within a minute or two. Google is now off limits, FB is acceptable.
I didn't know about Putin's buddys. I shan't renew.
Thanks all.
[quote=slowoldgit ]I just downloaded Kasperkey,See, you'll just not listen to advice, so don't expect any now!
Date/time would be my first though as sounds like a certificate rejection issue. Could be a Firefox issue also if it's recently had an update. Try Chrome, or IE (or Edge in Win 10). Same results?
DNS problems possibly. Maybe something's hijacked your DNS settings.
Could be system root certificates are messed up or hijacked.
Which Windows version? If it's 10, stick with Windows Defender built in for anti virus. It's perfectly good and far less bloated and system slowing than just about all the rest (even the good ones).
It's not so proactive though, so really down to you to be cautious about what you download, though it will catch things when they run.
Malwarebytes is also advised to catch the malware type things. Stuff that aren't really viruses but behave badly / force garbage on you etc.
We've been through this but the silly auld bugger just won't listen....stick with Windows Defender built in for anti virus. It's perfectly good and far less bloated and system slowing than just about all the rest (even the good ones).

Defender sulked and hid, I think because I had SpyBot to clear out intrusive cookies: it gets used once a month or so. Would Defender not do the same if I had 'malwarebytes' installed? 'Which' mag rated Mr K best of the paid-for AV, last review I saw.
And, of course I like Firefox for reasons that can't be mentioned. Plus it syncs across two machines. It's ok on this desktop, it's the laptop that has the problem.
As SR has perceived, this older person stubbornly sticks to the familiar.
Chrome and even Edge on Win 10 sync across machines, and phones (Edge only with Win Phone obviously 😉 ).
Used to be a Firefox person but it got too sluggish and bloated.
I'm pretty sure there's nothing you need in Firefox you can't find for Chrome. And it'll sync between devices.
Run Malwarebytes (free version) once a month if you feel it necessary. It doesn't leave anything for Defender to sulk over.

Then why are are you asking for advice when you already know better? It's a waste of your time and everyone else's.
Not sure it has made it into the production version of Firefox yet but the dev version has been warning any site with form fields and not using https as possibly insecure for a while now.
Rachel
So I can use malwarebytes with Defender, and I need to look into DNS, whatever that is. I was assuming Defender threw a strop with any other AV around. Thanks each.
Edit - thanks, Rachel. I'll reload it again.
Any AV solution will 'throw a strop' with another AV solution as you've got two products trying to do the same thing. However, Malwarebytes is not an AV product in that sense.
