What happened at the end after young girl was possessed by the old battleaxe our recorder missed off the end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not seen it for years, but basically, I think that's the whole point of the film.
The young woman's mind/soul ends up in the old woman's body & the old woman's soul/mind ends up in the young woman's body. So, the young woman is trapped in a knackered old body, while the old woman gets a young, vibrant body to carry on living in.
Can't remember exactly what happens, but that's the basic premise. I think.
Wouldn't mind seeing it again, actually....
