"Picture this, I'm a bag of dicks, put me to your lips."
I've always loved romantic poetry.

I always offer this up for people who claim that his voice spoils it; it's not even the one you'd think of (and he sneaks in on backing vocals later anyway)

Sandie Shaw and The Smiths

even better was their TOTP appearance; my Dad proclaiming that this'll be better than the crap i call music, only to see Sandie writhing around the floor in a mini dress.

I’ll probably get ribbed for this, but I have always thought that Bono and Clannad’s ‘In a Lifetime’ was excellent.

DJ Format and Jurassic 5

The Prodigy and Kula Shakers Crispian Mills

I had not heard that Leftfield Sleaford Mods one before. That bass is filthy.

Glad I clicked on the Op's link as that's what I was going to suggest ..I've always thought that was a fantastic track ..also like Run DMC / Aerosmith .
My offering is this Steven Wilson / Ninet Tayeb song from " To The Bone "..( her album Paper Parachutes is worth an explore )

I absolutely adore this song! Two superb singers in perfect harmony, it doesn’t get much better than this.
I’ve seen them perform it live, and it was as good as the original recording, but then, I’d expect nothing less from these two.

I would have like this as a great pop tune, but the addition of one of my favourite radio presenters and lead singer of a great pop band makes it irresistible!

Then there’s Massive Attack with the sublime Hope Sandoval...

...and with Tracy Thorn

Mark Lanagan and Isobel Campbell...

Neko Case can do no wrong, and a collaboration with Mark Lanagan works for me...

Click the share button on the video, click copy link, click into the reply to box on here, click paste. That’s it, sorted.
Like this, a lovely collaboration between Joan Baez and Thea Gilmore

Speaking of Eno collaborations, this is one of the best, an extraordinary album, from before anyone knew what sampling was...

Agreed CZ, it's an amazing piece of work.

If you've not heard Evening Star, please give it a go, it's an amazing piece of work.

From what you've posted before, I think you'd really like it.

Heard this last night, and it's still a stone cold classic

And talking of Eno collaborations, this one with David Byrne gets me every time:

My Life ... is excellent. I think it's the best thing David Byrne has done apart from Remain in Light.
One of my favourite tracks. Oddly relaxing and disturbing at the same time:

Thanks for this thread, it fired a dormant synapse and now reunited me once more with two astonishing albums that I lost 16 years ago, and then did without for too long. STW wins again 😃

The great Holger Czukay (Can) with David Sylvian (Japan)
