was chatting to one of the photographers at one of my gigs last night, he mentioned that the GF1 can be modified to an IR camera!!

I had a look into this - shoei who posts on here sometimes uses his for IR photography (without modification) with a filter. I bought the filter but to my shame I've never actually used it.
I don't really understand the technicalities of conversion vs using a filter.
