I use Facebook these days for my sons sports clubs but still have old friends on there.
This morning full of pictures of peoples Mum’s wishing them happy Mother’s Day.
I don’t get it, isn’t it a personal thing between parent and child, I get it might not be possible to see mothers but then surely you ring them/FaceTime them ?
Well I guess if your Mam uses FB you might? Not that mine does and like you I only have it for clubs and similar.

I agree, my sisters have been sending messages on Facebook this week to my brother.
He died at a relatively young age just as first lockdown started. I sit up the garden, look at the flowers and listen to the birds to remember him. Everyone to their own I suppose but it makes a private event very public - I know that I’ve just shared but this is different, it’s STW, a family!
Father's day last year wound me up for the same reason so I left Facebook and haven't looked back.
Same applies for kids birthdays, your 2 year old child does not have Facebook, stop showing off or seeking attention!
See no harm in it and certainly wouldn’t flounce over it and then let the world know.
It's all part of the wider trend of virtue signalling, which is very harmful if you think about it as it's ostensibly a form of behaviour control.
Don't worry, soon you will be socially coerced into putting on your VR goggles wishing her happy birthday in the meta verse that you only signed up for to complain about the neighbours parking.

I couldn't say Happy Mothers (or Fathers day) because I'm an orphan. Have been since 2003.
I saw loads of 'Happy Mothers in Heaven' day though.
