that slope out of the tunnel into the chicane catches everyone out. Remember Kimi a couple of years back? I think Petrov's been done there too.

Why don't they learn? Is it imbalance on the car?

Very lucky. The car seemed to just snap right, he coon't have seen that one coming at all.

Alonso is looking very very quick indeed. Let's hope he can qualify well, and can get back in the mix, as it makes it all the more exciting.

S'an expensive place that though innit, eh? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ I imagine living there would cost me almost as much in rent as it does here.... ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That very well sited hazard bump, angled as it was, deflected him off the path of the barrier. An arse twitching moment no doubt.

Monaco was one of the stops on my honeymoon.

It's very tenemented. Some of the blocks reminded me of Barton Hill in Bristol and parts of London - it's not all that.

on a related note I spent the best part of yesterday touring around the new silverstone wing building, the new pits, race control, pit lane etc.

Really smart stuff by Silverstone. It's going to be a great BGP this year.

Why don't they learn?

Have a look at some of the in-car footage. Notice how much it looks like 'normal' footage speeded up about 4 times.

Then tell me you'd be able to react quickly enough to every single bump and dip etc.... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, and bear in mind that the cams are 12-14" or so above the drivers head, so your actual view would be even more limited.

It's happened again in Q3. But this time the driver (not Rosberg) went into the barrier ๐Ÿ™

Looks nasty for Perez. Doesn't seem to be moving in the car

Now Perez, almost a carbon copy of Rosberg's accident.

This could seriously compromise Hammo, as he's not got a proper time up yet. He's already miffed at Massa for not doing anything wrong at all actually toys coming out the pram. ๐Ÿ˜

Is that strip I mentioned above that saved Rosberg missing?

Not looking too good for Perez. Hope he's ok.

Dunno, but Perez was completely sideways with his hands on his head before that strip so I doubt it would have made a difference

It's defo missing, but yeah, I guess it might not have changed the outcome. Hope the fella is alright. Something needs to be done about that section.

Let's be honest; if Monaco weren't already on the calendar, and so much money weren't involved, there's no way such a potentially dangerous circuit would get onto the F1 calendar now. No way.

^ True enough. And from a racing point of view, it's not that much of a spectacle really, compared to a lot of the others.

But the in-car from Monaco is always mind blowing.

I've been watching old footage of Senna there. Astonishing.

Can't wait for the Senna film. Friday. Excellent.

Each to their own but I always thought Monaco was quite a dull track. I know they're going fast next to really highy walls but there's not much racing going on.

It's god-awful to drive on on the XBOX as well.
