What was that solar panel type thing he had? How does it work ? Would it really heat a pool?

My parents have similar for their pool.
Apparently works well according to those they spoke to with the same system -not so much heat but keep it more usable earlier and later into the season for their guests.
They have more than the normal number of solar thermal.panels.mounted as their pergola roof so should work well.
Find our next season
(It's also.in France....not quite a chateau though)
