Rainy and wet, kids are 5 and nearly 3.. Been to the world museum, what can we do this afternoon for a couple of hours? Staying in the Hampton Inn near Albert Dock.

It's brightened up now!
Get along to the armed forces day exhibits/ police display or even the dragon boating further down the river.
Alternatively, take the 'river cruise' in the ferry.
Discovery cruise ship is moored at the cruise terminal, sitting next to it right now.

find the end of edge lane, carry on down it until you get to the M62, cart on for 30 odd miles until you reach Manchester, then enjoy.
